Over the years Amber and Jonathan tried to make their marriage work even though they both knew they didn't try as hard as they should have.
After a tragic accident Amber is forced to retire from teaching and competing.
She allows Jonathan back in her life. His mistakes from the past come back to stare them both in the face. Amber takes that as a sign to leave for good.
Amber has become a different person who realizes she doesn't need him in her life even if she wants him in her life.
