Resumen del Editor

Just keep laughing and nobody will get hurt! Author Douglas Adams kidnapped an audience and held them hostage for 90 minutes at London's Almeida Theatre. The audience members were subjected to extremely hot August temperatures and Adams's dramatic solo performances of excerpts and scenes from his wildly funny, wildly popular books The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, and Life, the Universe and Everything. LEARN how to fly! HEAR about Arthur and the Irrational Sofa! GROAN at Marvin's escapade with the Frogstar Battle Robot! Adams may have a cult following, but it's the happiest cult around, thanks to his inventive, absurd, and impish humor which comes through fully in this release.
Listen to the rest of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy."

Expecting a book, got a stage performance

Guess I should have read the description more closely. I was looking for the book

My Go-To listen!

This live rendition of the Hitchhiker's Guide by Douglas Adams is my go-to listen. I have lost the count of how many times I have listened to it (a feature-request if there ever was one, Audible?), yet the hilarity of it never fails to bring many laughs and joy. Even as he is reading, Douglas Adams brings spontaneity to it – and that is magical!

So Much Fun!

I originally listened to this on a cassette tape years ago and loved it back then. I’ve since bought this on Audible and have made lots of people listen to it since. I enjoy the live reading and the passion Douglas Adams puts into this. Just a fun quick trip down some fun parts of Hitchhikers. I will warn people though that this isn’t the full story, or from a single book. He reads a few passages from a few books that explains the pot of petunias line from the original.

It's more Hitchhiker's Guie!

It's hard to write a review for something so clearly for people who will already enjoy the work in question. If you don't know the Hitchhiker's Guide, this isn't a great place to start. If you do, then you'll enjoy this.

Is there really anything else to be said? It's wonderful!

Wonderful Addition for a Douglas Adams Fan!

Any additional comments?

I love a great sci-fi book. And I love a great comedy. Adams brings both with the Hitchhiker's series. I love the books. This particular book is a concert of Adams favorite sections read by Adams. Its laugh out loud funny and a perfect driving companion. this one is going into regular rotation!

5/25 is International Towel Day and what better way to celebrate than to listen to the author himself read favorite excerpts.

Brilliant Writing and Performance

Douglas Adams performing his own writing is fantastic. I usually enjoy authors reading for an audiobook. This is the most entertaining and active reading of Hitchhiker's I've ever heard. Give it a shot! if you like the books, you'll laugh at this.

Don't miss this.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

It can not be missed

Who was your favorite character and why?

Douglas Adams off course

If you could take any character from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Live in Concert out to dinner, who would it be and why?

It would seem very Adams to take him to see a performance of himself for him to explain how the great galactic book would talk of the confusion and madness of time travel

Any additional comments?

If your an Adams fan you must listen to this it's like being at the last restaurant with Adams as the stage show.
