Very similar to Douglas Adams style with strong hints of Vonnegut. THIS BOOK IS FOR ALL AGES AND THEN SOME. Dr. Simmons, departing from his usual style, has written a story about the adventures of Dr. Alan Rossum, the world's first independent, plastic robot physician. His appearance is incredibly humanlike, plus he is movie-star handsome, and his manners are impeccable. His hands are warm. Or, cold, if need be. He is also fireproof, germ-resistant, self-cleaning, buoyant and shrink resistant. Robots such as Rossum are expected to lower the high cost of medicine and work through the night without re-charging. They do not need time for meals . They never take a smoke-break. He is capable of doing everything from colonoscopes to butt lifts to open-heart surgery. Plus, he can jump higher and run faster than any human doctor. This is his first month on duty at Mount Sinai Hospital and there are several odd forces at work that are determined to prevent his success. Some patients are invisible, extraterrestrials, ghosts, an/or time travelers. Kirkus Reviews liked it., "Raucous entertainment".

Nice British style Humor

This was cute, a really easy listen. I enjoyed it a lot. Using the British voice was SO fitting. It also sounded far better than I expected. Iam looking forward to the next book.
