In Dangerous Games, Gavin, the captain of the SWAT team is working with the Sheriff's department to uncover those responsible for illegal drug transport through their small community, and following a lead that is too close to the truth. He is beaten and shot, and left to die in a frozen rural field. Katie's aging retriever finds him. Katie puts herself in danger to aid him as he recovers, and as those who attempted to take his life hunt him down. Gavin can trust no one until he knows who wants him dead. In The Last Witness, a beautiful teenage girl has disappeared, and the evidence points to a young man who loves her. When River Weaver is accused of her murder, Colt Santiago returns to Durango to help defend him. As a larger plot is uncovered, proof of River's innocence or guilt lies in the hands of the last witness. Author's note: These stories contain no graphic love scenes or unsuitable language. Though some content is of a mature nature, the stories would be suitable for young adults.
