Finally Eve's story. I loved it.

Not for me

I know this is a popular series but could not get into this one. Not as good as some of her books.

Fun book

What I like about this author is the way her books keep me engaged in the story. She keeps each book separate but one keeps running into old characters which for me is so much fun.

Great Read

The Heart of Christmas (Whiskey Creek, #7) was a great read by Brenda Novak. Eve always has loved Christmas but it reminds her of all the things the doesn’t have. She is one of her last friends to get married and have kids, This is all she’s ever wanted. A handsome stranger comes barging in her life and she’s very attracted to him. I really enjoyed reading their story and can’t wait to read more by Brenda Novak.

Another hit

This one was the first of this series that I could not even guess what was going to happen. Even to the end!

And of course, Carly Robins is excellent at the narration.

I loved this story line, writing and performance. Brenda Novak has become one of my favorite authors

Loved the book. Loved the storyline and characters. Narrator did fine except...

I wish they'd had someone double-check the Narrator's pronunciation of actual town names. Placerville was mispronounced multiple times and it was a bit distracting, each time.

Interesting 

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, looking forward to the next in the series. This is the first series of Brenda Novak that I have read. 

Just not for me…

I just did not care for this book at all. I felt like the main character was whiney and naive. No real substance to the story or characters. Just my opinion. It’s the first book I’ve read by this author. Not sure I’ll try another. But all of us are different. I was looking for a Christmas read. This just didn’t do anything for me.

Barely got through the first chapter. The narrator and character didn’t mesh well. I’ve listened to this narrator before and she works well for certain characters but she just ends up making the main character in this seem so (much more) annoying and that was only after one chapter (a 35 year old woman is mad because her one night stand won’t take her for coffee after???? girl it’s called a one night stand for a reason, grow up).
