Acerca de esta escucha
For nearly a century, Thornview Hall has played host to occultism, betrayal, and murder. It’s managed to hold onto its secrets.
Until now.
When Sully is forced to publicly reveal that he can see and communicate with the dead, he launches himself and his brother, Dez, into a disturbing murder investigation.
Sixty years have passed since five-year-old Miriam Garver disappeared from her Thornview Hall home. No one ever learned what became of her, and Sully and Dez are determined to uncover the truth.
But when a winter storm traps them on the remote property, the brothers soon discover determination might not be enough. The mansion isn’t just haunted by more than one spirit—it has housed human beings as twisted as the house itself.
As Sully and Dez unravel the property’s evil past, they are forced to contend with their own personal demons. Confronting the darkness around them carries stakes beyond the rescue of a young girl’s spirit.
It’s the brothers’ only chance to stay alive.
The Braddock & Gray Case Files—a series of standalone ghostly mysteries—follow the events in The Sullivan Gray Series.

Still love it!
Another excellent book in this series.
I love the symmetry of the story, beginning and ending with Lowell Braddock's trial. And from the very beginning, I got pulled into the story with Sully being outed as a psychic during his testimony. But things didn't work out as the defence lawyer thought they would when Sully described the ghost of a little girl standing by his side.
Leonard Jacob, the defence lawyer, asks for Sully's help, and Sully and Dez find themselves investigating a haunting at Thornview Hall... Lowell and Kindra's home and the place where their dad was killed.
And there is not a common ghost in there; the evil haunting that place is something Sully has never faced. The links to the past in this story aren't only those related to the entity living there or the ghost haunting the groundkeeper's cottage; Sully's past abuse is brought to the front of his mind due to the similarities with Miriam's, and Aiden and Flynn's murder is never too far from their minds.
The story is enthralling, and there are a couple of moments that are truly terrifying. But, as always, there are those moments that highlight the deep bond between Sully and Dez, and those of pure light when Sully frees the ghosts that are trapped in this plane.
I simply love these stories, they are scary, yes, but they are also full of goodness and hope. I can't recommend them enough.
EDIT
Adding my review for the audiobook, as that edition is not here *sighs*
I love revisiting books when the audio becomes available, particularly when, as is this case, I love both, the story and the narrator ♥
I still find all the scenes in which the brothers are faced with the murder of their dad, heartbreaking; the deep, raw pain they feel is evident but portrayed without unnecessary flourish.
And I still get anxious when Sully has to fight against this strong force haunting Lowell and Kindra's old house, afraid for him and for Dez.
Still an amazing story!
