Acerca de esta escucha
Some hotels check you in. This one never lets you check out.
In the Gallagher Hotel, every room holds a nightmare, and every guest becomes prey. When Riley accepts a serving position at an exclusive party in the infamous Gallagher Hotel, she sees it as a chance to move past her son's tragic death. Instead, she steps into a supernatural nightmare. Together with Chris, a mysterious thief haunted by his own tortured history, she discovers the hotel's current owner isn't who she claims to be - but rather the vengeful spirit of an executed criminal.
As malevolent forces trap them inside, Riley and Chris witness horrifying manifestations and uncover dark secrets hidden within the hotel's Victorian walls. The spiritual and material realms blur, and the body count rises. A sinister hotel manager reveals his true demonic nature, and ancient evils awaken. Can they expose the hotel's macabre history and survive the night, or will they join the ranks of the hotel's permanent ghostly residents?
The Haunting of Gallagher Hotel stands as the latest bone-chilling addition to K. T. Rose's horror collection. If you crave atmospheric hauntings, supernatural suspense, and relentless terror, then you'll be mesmerized by this blood-curdling tale.

Hauntingly chaotic
I listened to the audiobook version and while the narrator did a good job, I found the frequent time jumps between past and present—and between multiple characters—a bit confusing to follow. The premise is intriguing, especially with the eerie setting of the Gallagher Hotel and the haunted party angle. Riley’s grief and desire to rebuild her life gave her character some depth, and Chris had an interesting, if chaotic, backstory.
The supernatural twist added a spooky touch, and the atmosphere was well-crafted, but with so many characters and secrets unraveling at once, it was sometimes hard to stay connected to the core storyline. Overall, it was a decent read with a unique concept, but the execution made it hard to fully engage.

Fight for souls
Great 10+ hour audio of a haunted motel in Michigan. I went into this blind and was pleasantly pleased. It’s not scary but is very mysterious and leads you down a gracious amount of information on each character. The information will definitely keep you locked into the book itself.
Several people received invites to either stay or work at the hotel for a weekend. What transpires is a fight for their souls.
I’m very familiar with a lot of the real life locations mentioned in the book as I live close so that was an interesting sure.

Ghosts & Supernatural Activity
This was my first experience with this author's work. It took a little while for me to get into this story, but once the set-up was complete, the story became engrossing. I liked that all the characters were complex, even the ghosts. I felt for Riley as she went through an emotional roller coaster, especially as she was trying to deal with the death of her son. I was entertained by Benjamin Powell's narration, once I was familiar with his cadence. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

Good but could be better
This story had a lot going on. Many characters and plots within plots. Jumping back and forth in time and between all the characters was a tad confusing at times with the audiobook. The horror aspects were good as well as the overall story. I would have preferred less chaos and more back story.
I received a copy of this book from StoryOrigin and this is my honest review.
