Long, long ago, over three hundred years ago, Optus was a large, bustling country. Within the country, a political rift led by Walter Cologne, the highest-ranking official, caused it to split into two.
The new country became Korgade. Korgade named Walter Cologne the King and built a castle for him and his family. This is the story of Korgade in the 21st century.

Chapter 1
Jennifer Cooper, tall and regal, with perfect posture, shoulder-length light brown hair, and blue eyes, listened to music while working in her home office. She owned a real estate agency named Jennifer’s Real Estate, with six employees in New York City. Add a daughter aged seven, and her life was anything but dull. She was happy with her life. The house is decorated to make her and her daughter, Carol, feel warm and comfortable. Every wall is a pastel color. Medium color wooden floors. All are on one floor with four large bedrooms and three bathrooms. She worked, totally absorbed.
The pounding on the door startled her. She had finished her work and was turning off her computer. Quickly rolling her chair back, she stood up and walked into her living room, stretching as she walked.
When she reached the front door, she looked through the peephole and smiled. It was her neighbor and best friend, Emily. She opened the door.
Emily, petite, had long red hair kept out of the way by a ponytail. Her big green eyes were red from crying.
“Emily, what happened?”
“My company closed.”
“What!”
“I went to work as usual, and the doors were locked.” Jenny, what am I going to do? I can’t live on unemployment; my house payments won’t be covered,” she said, putting her head down and sobbing. Jennifer opened the door for her, and she walked in and headed straight for the couch.
Jennifer ran into the bathroom and grabbed a box of tissues, placing them in her lap. Emily took several tissues and started mopping her eyes, then took more and blew her nose.
Jennifer said, “Breathe in through your nose and exhale to the count of five.” Emily did that a few times and found she could breathe calmly.
“Emily, you know the saying, when God closes one door, another opens.”
“Yes, I heard that, but I’ve worked there for ten years. I went from secretary to Forensic Public Accountant.”
“You have great skills; you can get a job anywhere.”
“As a typist?” raising her voice. I have a brain. I’m thirty years old.”
“That’s how old I am. What’s wrong with that? You’ll find another job. There is a job out there with your name on it. You’re not over the hill either,” Jennifer smiled, hugging her.
A knock at the door interrupted their conversation. Jennifer looked through the peephole without opening the door. She saw two military men in red tunics, black pants, and black berets on their heads. One was tall, and one short. She recognized the uniform. “Princess Jennifer Cologne.”
Jennifer almost fainted. Her face turned chalk white. “What do you want?”
“I am Captain David Mueller, and this, pointing to the shorter man, is Lieutenant Swartz. Please open the door. You know who we are; we are here on official royal business,” the tall man said.
Jennifer opened the door. Unfortunately, she did know who these men were and where they came from. The tall man said, “This is the correct address, and this is your picture, Princess Jennifer,” showing her the picture and saluting.
“What is this all about?” Jennifer glanced at her friend Emily, who was sitting in her chair with her mouth partly open and a shocked expression on her red face.
She finally answered, “Yes, I am Princess Jennifer. Come in and tell me what this is all about.” Emily’s mouth dropped open.
