Destined to be a childhood classic

Would you consider the audio edition of The Hat Maker's Hats to be better than the print version?

The audio book is the perfect companion for the print version. The gentle and engaging narration shouldn't replace a parent's participation, but for those times when mom or dad can't read out loud, Emily Dragon brings her charming story to your child in a voice that speaks to your child, but never speaks down to them.

What did you like best about this story?

It is amazing how many life lessons can be told in such a short time. This is why this book will become a go-to favorite for parents and children alike. Self esteem, dealing with disappointment, being true to yourself, true happiness - each of these and more are presented as a jumping off point for discussion. Would that text books contained such wisdom!

What does Emily Dragon bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It is obvious that Emily Dragon does more than just reads the words she has written. To be honest, I personally don't listen to audio books, as I enjoy reading for myself. But with a child who may not read yet, or is more hearing oriented, this is a wonderful medium.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

A better question would be, where was I not moved? As I wrote earlier, this short story is full of life lessons. There is no room for moments that do not move you, or give you something to ponder.
