Amazing. Speechless words can't express how moving this trilogy is. I'm glad I read and and even more glad I listened to it

Best series of books on wwii I have ever read

Rick Atkinson writes like an academic storyteller…factual yet captivating. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn.

For both the serious student and leisure historian

Not long winded while amazingly well researched. Includes the details that matter with a perfect mix of what the individual Soldier endured, the good and bad leadership and Generalship, and the Political decisions and International Brinksmanship that influenced every Strategic move from both sides.

Disappointed with purchase

I didn’t realize until it was too late I got the abridged version that cuts a great deal of a superb book to a more mediocre title.

If you don’t want the abridged version, don’t get this one.
