Acerca de esta escucha

During one of the hottest summers on record, a group of friends got together for that most American of traditions: the road trip.

But this was no ordinary journey. Over the course of ten days and nights, this team of paranormal investigators set out to explore ten of the country's most haunted locations. Thousands of miles on the road in search of uniquely American ghosts, their quest took them to an asylum whose former inmates are said to speak from beyond the grave; a jail with ties to a nearby house with a very dark reputation; the hallowed ground of one of the Civil War's most battles; and a house believed to be haunted by the spirit of a little girl, who may be something entirely more sinister.

Join Richard Estep (TV's Haunted Hospitals and Paranormal 911) and his intrepid band on their odyssey to encounter things that go bump in the night.

What a wonderful adventure. Richard had me holding on to every word he wrote and Josh Spoke. What a great combination. I love the clear concise investigatory approach with a no bullshit method of relaying the scene and setting the feelings in the room. I would love to investigate with this group.

Just what the spiritual soul needs.

This book takes you through ten different stops, and the investigations that happened at each stop. There are some interesting ones in there, and most are discussed in several other books that Richard Estep has written.

Good locations, and decent overall!

Great stuff as usual from Estep. It’s a great way to get a quick glance into some interesting places, some of which he’s written about in their own books. Definitely worth the time.

Great stories from a whirlwind of a trip!

First off I really have to give Richard a hand for the dedication he has to explore the paranormal and to do so on an incredible period of time to cover the distance that he has done for this book.

As one who does investigations, I know the time and energy it takes to do just a couple in a short time. I don't think I could push myself to do such along drawn out adventure as he has done here.

it's hard enough to do back to back investigations but to do so night after night for 12 days... I am amazed.

I have investigated with Richard at a few events and he is very knowledgeable in techniques.

I wanted to get more ideas on locations and techniques by reading this book. Some of the locations he went to here, I have also visited. To hear his thoughts on them was interesting and gave me more ideas on what to try the next time I return to them.

Gettysburg is an incredible place to visit and absorb the energies there. Everywhere you go the spirits are watching you. He mentioned the Bash, which I was lucky enough to experience last year for the first time. I can not wait to go back in July for the next one. Not only is it a great way to network with like minded people, but it is also a fund raiser for disabled veterans and other charitable organizations.

I have gone to several paracons over the years as a participant and also as a vendor. Some it is just an event to attend. but there are a few that feel like a homecoming experience. This is one of that type.

Thank you Ruchard Estep for sharing your experiences with us again. I look forward to seeing you again and reading more of your books.

I am looking forward to the newest one to come to Audible on Ashmore Estates. Robbin Terry has an amazing location there and it's on my schedule to visit it again in a month for my birthday investigation.

An investigators point of view

I heard this author interviewed on a podcast and thought that the book might be interesting. I was disappointed. It was poorly edited, with sentences repeated, and the narrator sounded like he was in a tin can. The book had references to people and places with no background, He wrote as if you already knew important details, which he left out. There was more information about his mileage and dietary habits than there was about relevant folklore and legends. There was also a lot of profane and vulgar language, which did not contribute anything to the weak storyline. I rarely review anything, but I felt strongly that this book deserved it, and I returned it.

Don’t waste a credit
