The Bible is made up of 66 books written by 40 men over 1,500 years that tells one cohesive story from the beginning of the world till its end. God spoke to His prophets, and they recorded His words in those books for His people to live by--both then and now. All scripture is STILL good for teaching.

God also gave the writers visions of the future. Some came true with Jesus, and others will come true when He returns. In the Bible days, if a prophet gave ONE wrong prophecy, he was stoned to death, because if it didn't come true, he must not have heard it from God. Therefore, he is not a true prophet. This is how we know the prophets heard from the Lord. Woven throughout battles, deserts, kings, and famines is the story of how mankind fell, suffered, and was redeemed. It continues with the blessed hope we have that Jesus is returning for His people soon.
