Another great story by Elena!

Loved this book! So sensual, from the descriptions of the island weather, period clothing, architecture, and FOOD. Aimée wasn’t always easy to like, but I still found myself rooting for her. I appreciate the feminist undertones including discussions about autonomy, sexual health, and general independence. Great story, highly recommend.

Island pleasures.

I had the pleasure of meeting the author in person on October 12, 2024. The story, had several references to similar stories I have heard in person, which was nice to read in the book. The voice of the person reading was quite entertaining. Recommended book to my daughters.

Miss Sandovici’s talent to describe the main character and her journey made me love this book and the story!
Although an unusual subject for me, it captivated me and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I thought the story would include more about Galveston at the time. I guess I was mislead by the description. It was totally about the life of a prostitute.
