She finds a community of 199 hairy humanoids and one human, a young man about her age, They are all trapped as she is by the lethal cold outside. Life is sustained by a monotonous schedule of work, eat, sleep, repeat, and by strict rules enforced for population control and to maintain civil interaction. She has little choice but to conform. The alternative is to die.
