Great book!!

Great book telling the story of the power in the black Muslim community. I loved learning more about the culture and the life of Masood through the life of others. It is a powerful story that anyone can relate to.

Thought provoking and leaves you wanting to hear more!

This book is right on time!! I listen to a lot of audible books and this is a great listen. Telling the stories of a demographic that has been so impactful to many, yet the stories have never been told. They transition of self-reflection, to giving honor to those who the author has learned valuable lessons from along the journey of life makes this book more and more captivating as it goes on.
I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys being able to learn lessons from someone who has been through life trials that others typically don’t make it out of. You can tell the author is a very gifted writer that will have much more to write on in the future.

This is one of the most compelling audiobooks I've ever encountered! You actually walk with the author through this multi-dementional journey of life. Masood paints a picture that turns this audio into a visual experience!

Impeccable storytelling!

I listened to this everyday during my commute. Being the author’s sister, I was caught up in the nostalgia of his storytelling about our childhood. So proud of Masood, he was always an amazing writer and his first book is definitely a page turner. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing narrative that allowed me to have insight into the life of African American Muslims. The author wove a tale of his life and all the lives that touched and shaped him. I appreciate this type of writing, witty and honest.
