Acerca de esta escucha
The aftermath of a government nuclear test in 1964 forces a Mississippi family to move out of their modest rental home and into a beautiful farmhouse near ground zero. As they settle in, terrifying supernatural occurrences happen immediately, with much of the horror inflicted by a powerful, angry spirit. Unable to move because of contractual obligations and underlying racial threats, the family turns to the clairvoyant ability of the youngest child, Jackie, and seeks guidance from a mysterious priest.
Roughly four decades later, Jackie’s only child, Jacob, is pulled into the fray after a lingering ghostly encounter at the Jefferson Davis Home in Biloxi. After subsequent hauntings, the young journalist embarks on a painful journey to change the controversial Mississippi state flag despite threats and eerie challenges.
As worldwide outcry ensues twenty years later over the fatal police shooting of an innocent black girl in Mississippi, Jacob, now a successful professor and author, receives an antebellum-era wooden riddle book from a mysterious stranger at the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, prompting his spine-chilling adventure through the state to solve all the riddles. Along the way, he fully unlocks his supernatural abilities and accepts his true calling. But will his efforts be successful?
