Acerca de esta escucha
Are you. . .living your most authentic, courageous life? Trapped by a lifetime of old habits and paths that constrict and smother your soul? Ready to boldly—or with great fear!—discover your own undiscovered country? It’s time, then, to take a walk, a hike, a stravage across an ancient land and change your life, forever.
In The Geography of the Soul, you will join Dr. Royce Fitts on his stravage across the elegant English countryside following along the “oldest road in England and Europe”—a path formed in prehistory, by the Ice Age and before the English Channel existed, stretched across the European continent. More than that, you will join Royce in a most reflective journey of memories, dreams, and healings from his life and work on the American prairie. Weaving together the English walk, and the stories and the dreams of a lifetime, this unique memoir invites us all to explore and create—even within our woundedness—a life of healing and beauty.

A Memoir Weaving A Rebellious Journey of the Soul
Inspired by listening to The Geography of the Soul by @roycefitts.geographyofthesoul today I felt the need to get into nature. To move my feet upon the Earth and walk the paths of the lands that I know and that know me. Wandering the thick fog blanketing the land and the trees, through the windless forest and sepia tones of the long grasses, versus the seasonal norm blanket of ankle deep snow that usually is covering the lands of Minnesota in December. I found myself hearing the repeated quote from the book, "Weird, like a dream."
Walking in the dense fog, it felt like a waking dream, the fog making the familiar seem unfamiliar. Things in the distance seemed unclear, and hazy, making it easy to feel lost, but I was still able to trust in my inner knowing, finding my way through this denseness and continuing on my path, finding my way forward.
After returning to my car I felt as though the message from this waking dream was giving me guidance on the approaching new year. That things in the distance may now seem hazy or unclear, and even uncomfortable, but I know that I can trust myself, and have faith to make it through. The message that still remains with me from this day, "Remember, when everything outside or around you becomes foggy, hazy, or unclear this is when the inner path becomes visible, revealing the next step forward."
Is there a time in your waking reality where you felt as if you were in a waking dream? Have you found yourself in a strange or odd situation where you had to stop and ask yourself, "Am I dreaming?"
I am highly enjoying listening to this new audiobook, a memoir, weaving a rebellious journey of the soul, personal story, and dreaming.
