The Generosity Message

God’s Empowering Grace 2 Corinthians 8-9

In 2 Corinthians 8-9 Paul is delivering an appeal to the Corinthian church to give generously through God’s provided grace, which displays the generous characteristics of God. In this manuscript, we will explore the framework of four different lenses. First, we will look at God’s grace as the genesis of generosity. Second, we will explore how God’s grace enables a witness of authentic love. Third, we will investigate how God’s grace enables a witness of unity. Finally, we will come to see how God’s grace of generosity through us as Christ-followers enables the future to break into the present.
