Power Point Guidebook to an Intimidating Future

I won’t be awarding any Style Points to Tim Heaton or the ChatGPT that produced this “Book”, but the arguments that he makes do have credibility and value.

The scenarios laid out in the first two thirds of Future should send a chill down the spines of White-Collar Professionals and Experts all across The Fruited Plain as he makes a brief but convincing case for their imminent replacement by GEN AI. As I say, his cases are brief as he is obviously is an optimistic believer in the power and possibility inherent in AI. Every entry in his Power Point Deck would probably start an argument in the Tech Community, but these are challenges that need to be met as AI evolves. Future College Graduates would do well to read these points before choosing their Majors.

The later chapters concentrate a lot on the pairing AI with The Quantum World as the two are obviously going to dominate the next Centuries. He also makes an interesting case for the need for inclusion of the Arts and Humanities in Education to provide Empathy and Ethics in Future Generations of GEN AI.

Even though Heaton’s DNA is Gaming, he is familiar enough with the processes and techniques that gave rise to GEN AI and Machine Language to understand both the power and pitfalls of the path we’re going down. So I found Future to be a worthwhile read as long as you’re not expecting Great Literature or deep dives into the Pro’s and Con’s of AI. Four Stars. ****
