The world as everyone knows it has been shut down. The military cannot operate without their equipment, which is all run by computers, cell phones are of no use, neither are laptop computers, or even the new automobiles of the day. The Future space craft is held up waiting on the President of the United States to board and to try and preserve some of our nation's government until something can be done about theses intruders. Along the way to the Future space craft, the President of the United States is rescued from certain death by a team of soldiers training in the desert led by Sgt. Richard Kind, a tough, no nonsense marine. His life was turned upside down when the first invasion took place, so now he trains men and women to fight this unknown threat.

Aboard the Future, and headed for space, her crew, including the president and Sgt. Kind, discover there is more to the attack than anyone was willing to believe, and now the war continues thousands of miles from where it first began, just beyond our own atmosphere.

No time travel

I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an unbiased review. Earth is being attacked by aliens who do not talk to the humans. The USA just happens to have a spaceship they have been building for 5 years, but it only holds about 126 people as far as I could tell. They barely get off planet with the President. Then they find more aliens in space. What happens?! The narrator did a great job. I just was left hanging wondering how humanity will survive.

this is my favorite so far

I have been following this author's work for some time. And this book is probably my favorite. Then I discovered it is part of a much larger series so now I grab my popcorn and crank up my i phone and listen.

I really like to listen to this audio-book. All about the future thinking are in this audio-book. Impressive!

Another masterpiece by Tim Simpson. This is the second Sci-Fi audio-book I listen to and enjoy.
