Resumen del Editor

This is a powerful meditation to bring forcefully before the mind the essential purpose of life, which is, to save our soul and avoid hell. The message is as timeless as eternity. By heeding its message, the sinner will be assured of an eternity of joy.

I don't want to be a saint by halves.

One of the best books I have listened to in a long time. The passages about hell are very enlightening and provoked great fear. The descriptions of heaven surpass my greatest expectations and is better than anything I have ever read. I love this book and I am going to buy the hard copy also. God Bless

A dated fear based theology from Pre-Vatican II

Well this must’ve been a state of the art reference book back in 1910, the perceptions, theology, conceptions, and parts about mercy, forgiveness, and hope that have been part of more current Catholic theology are missing entirely. While I do believe in these things discussed, fear mongering just doesn’t work upon those already deep in sin, scares people off who are trying to “repent”, and has a righteous tone of having this all figured out in the name of Justice. Which paints the Lord as “all or nothing” and even gives and example of a saintly person their whole life going to hell in the end because they didn’t fast properly on a obligatory holy day. Instead of encouragement, this is the literal “fire and brimstone” preach.
