Amos Decker witnesses a murder just outside FBI headquarters. A man shoots a woman execution style on a crowded sidewalk, then turns the gun on himself.

Great story

Another great series of Amos Decker. Love the plot but little bit sad toward the ending. No spoilers but I would recommend that people read this.

The BEST of the series

Loved it. It made me forego watching TV because I couldn't stop listening to it.

Easily worth the credit, but. . .

I like most everything about the Amos Decker series. My only complaint with this one is that it felt like Baldacci used dialogue far too much to advance the plot. Amos would reveal stuff without our knowing how he figured it out. Still, I like this cast of characters and the plot was complicated enough to keep me thinking and engaged. I thought the narration was good. Almost 5s, but not quite.

Best Yet

I have read all of the Amos Decker books and this is the best installment to date. The characters are well developed in the story and the plot line keeps you guessing till the end. I also enjoyed the subplots within the book. Overall, well done. Give it a shot. I would love to see this one made into a movie.

Great detective work and story. The female narrator's characters starts to sound all alike, except for the little boy and one sister, time to find new accents...
