Acerca de esta escucha

THE WISDOM BOOKS + Job: The believer triumphs in the Lord amid tribulations. + Psalms: Our life in the Lord is a sweet song. + Proverbs: The educated, as well as the illiterate, both need the Proverbs. + Ecclesiastes: The reality of our current world is that it is the “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity”. + Song of Solomon: The soul enjoys its eternal wedding ceremony without growing old! In the Poetic Books of Wisdom, the believer recognizes the spiritual concept of worship. It is a mutual relationship of love in which every emotion and talent is sanctified so that the believer would devote his life to the Lord. He would enjoy the company of his beloved heavenly Father. In the book of Job, the believer bitterly suffers in the valley of pain and tears. However, his insight transcends the human world to witness the war between his God and the enemy, Satan, for his soul. The believer eventually triumphs and his heart is uplifted beyond the temporal realities to the Divine embrace. Psalms is the book of the pained sweet singer, and how, in the believer’s life, pain is transformed into a sweet hymn of peace in the Lord. God is delighted by our sacrifices of praise. In Proverbs, the father and mother offer their son Solomon their experience with the Lord in the form of memorable proverbs. Proverbs are signs that guide him along the spiritual and temporal road. The great glorified king as well as the simple poor worker, the well-educated and the illiterate all need the wisdom of those proverbs. Ecclesiastes sings lyrics, which reveal the truth about our world; it is the “vanity of vanities. All is vanity and grasping for the wind.” This is not an attempt to undermine the believer’s joy. It is an attempt to urge him to live in the world but in the spirit of happiness and gratitude while avoiding the unity with its vanities through the clinging to the heavenly truth, in order to live forever. In the Song of Solomon, the soul is uplifted with the help of the Spirit of God to the Divine embrace where she enjoys an eternal wedding ceremony without growing old!
