Sadly I think I might have enjoyed the book more and found the story more engaging if I had not been so distracted by the reader...ugh! I have come to like this series a great deal and the previous readers were quite engaging. Not so much this time. Way too much emphasis was put on changing voices for the characters. When I listen to a book I am not expecting or wanting a play without a stage. I am looking for a good solid reader with tone and a love for the story. This time it missed the mark.

The First Victim (Unabridged)

I have just listended to The First Victim narrated by Scott Rosema. Unfortunately I dont think that he is aware of what he is reading. He reads much too fast with no apparent thought to the content. This makes it difficult to follow the story, which probably deserves better rating, but since the narrators very poor perfermance makes it difficult to follow the story, I can only rate it 2 stars. I will from now on make sure to avoid any book narrated by Scott Rosema.

Horrible narration, inappropriate and disgusting. A Mexican with oriental speech!!!!

The story line was not defined I have always like Bolt but not this time. No story Reader worse I ever heard

Unfortunate Reading

I enjoy Ridley Pearson novels and have several in my listening library. However, this one - while a good story - is so poorly performed by Scott Rosema - it's nearly impossible to listen to and follow. He reads far too fast and does not pronounce words in any understandable form. I have to rewind constantly to pick up on important details. Disappointing indeed.
