Tommy Lee is a rising star of pro-rodeo saddle bronc riding when he wonders if he should trade in his fame and fortune in the rodeo scene for an honest job on the T6 Ranch, punching cows. Following a series of accidents that threatens the chain of command on the T6 Ranch, Tommy Lee finds himself saddled with more responsibility than his young shoulders have ever borne. The voices of the individuals surrounding him echo the voices in his head, some telling him that he doesn't have what it takes to do his job, and others telling him that he's the only one who can do what needs to be done. Tommy strives to do what's right by the ranch, his crew, and Bevin, the girls that he loves, but the trials that loom ahead and the guilt that trails behind threaten to rob him of his peace of mind-perhaps his very existence.

Wanting to make a hand and be somebody, Tommy throws in with some very experienced older men who aren't afraid to use their knowledge and expertise to gain wealth quickly. There is nothing far-fetched about this story - you might even say it's dangerously close to the truth.

Fantastic
My only complaint would be it wasn’t longer. The book was a great read and the audio a new favorite of mine. I thought the reading of the book was excellent. I could picture each seen in my head as if it were a movie. Well done! I look forward to starting the next book and anxiously anticipate the audio version.

The real deal
A real cowboy story written by a guy who actually knows the deal. No ridiculous details written by a person who thinks they know the life of a cowboy, this guy has been there, done that.
