The Faded Cause

The Civil War is now over, and thousands of soldiers are now heading back to their homes, and families, but not Hunter Wall, and his life long friend Jacob Miller who grew up with Hunter, and fought side by side from the first bloody battle to the last. Now they have no families to go home to, so they decide to head west, or find work from the first offer they get, and decide what they want to do. Their lives quickly change after finding a place to stay in the nearby woods after their last bloody battle not knowing that their last fight was the last battle fought of the war, and no living soldiers were left alive. Here in the darkness of night in the woods they meet Samantha living alone in a shack, and hiding from a handful of Confederate deserters. What will happen next for Hunter and Jacob when the meet Samantha? This will be among many new adventures for these three lost souls in the Post-Civil War.
