Acerca de esta escucha
Behind our democracy lurks a powerful but unaccountable network of people who wield massive power and reap huge profits in the process. In exposing this shadowy and complex system that dominates our lives, Owen Jones sets out on a journey into the heart of our Establishment, from the lobbies of Westminster to the newsrooms, boardrooms and trading rooms of Fleet Street and the City. Exposing the revolving doors that link these worlds, and the vested interests that bind them together, Jones shows how, in claiming to work on our behalf, the people at the top are doing precisely the opposite. In fact, they represent the biggest threat to our democracy today - and it is time they were challenged.

Amazing, a great eye opener
This book is amazing, a great cross section in how the British (and some other countries) governments work.
The history, their views, and to be honest it's horrifying!
Very well written, and very well performed, all in all a great experience! Would defiantly recommend to everyone.

Required reading for everyone
For all the insanely depressing truths Jones brings to the surface in his (that were apparently staring us in the face this entire time), his closing summation paints an inspirational picture for England and those who we interact with.
It would be a long and no doubt radiant battle, but it’s hard to challenge how it is the best vision for the future you’ll hear from anyone in this day and age.
Thank you for your service, Mr Jones and all those in distributing this work - I hope our paths will cross one day very soon.
Everyone should be mandated to read this book if they are considering any job in any sector, allowing them to do so with more power, eyes wide open and with a solid foundation for how we can survive if we decide to work together.

Truth is Stranger than Fiction
With every word uttered you will be enthralled, amazed, and disgusted. The abiding sentiment though is one of "how do we let this happen?"
Then you see how very distracted we are in what we call our daily lives.
