Forever a Curse. Forever a Blessing

A love story of countless lives. One love finding each other over and over again. In the late 1600s, Boone is cursed by a witch (for doing a good deed…so unfair) to live forever as he watches his love die at the same age over and over. To make it worse? His children and grandchildren always die soon after!
Then Boone waits for the next reincarnation of his wife to start the process once more.
And Felicity is number seven.
What a heart wrenching concept.
I overall enjoyed the set-up of the story. I have always found reincarnation romances beautiful in a tragic way. Boone and Felicity had sweet and fun chemistry as a regular couple, not just the eternal soul mates connection that makes it more rich and powerful.
Felicity and Boone are congenial characters, Felicity so entertaining and beguiling in her own unique way, a big heart, and has a super cool skill. Boone is literally Mr. Smooth and the definition of truly, deeply in love.

Once more, Logan Anare is my king of male narration. I liked the softer tone he brought to our cursed lead. He is always a treat for the ears. And the surprise guest on the last chapter is as rich as coffee. I will say that at times, the pacing and sentence structures felt somewhat off. And the last two hours (about 25%) did not match the styling, speed, or cadence of the rest of the story. And the ending…was not my cup of tea.
Still, this is a precious love story with multiple lives twists. It’ll help you find your one and only.

Good story and performance

Went into listening to this with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. A beautiful compelling reincarnation story with a twist ending brought to life with excellent narration.

The story was a good reincarnation story with a twist ending I didn’t see coming. The characters were likable. The premise was unique from other reincarnation stories I’ve read previously so it was a nice change! The performance was well done! Worth the listen!

The End of Forever is a standalone novel by author M.C. Stokes. This is a new author for me and I was hooked from the start! After an unfortunate encounter with a witch, Boone is forever cursed to be immortal and lose the love of his life. Over the centuries, he has only loved one woman and married her numerous times. Present day, Felicity meets Boone and instantly feels a connection. And then she starts to remember, have dreams, and suddenly this time around is much different than before. If Age of Adeline and Time Traveler's Wife had a baby, this would be the magic they made. LOVED the originality of the story, LOVED the narration by Logan Anare (and last chapter by Lexi Evans), and LOVED finding a new author and narrators to put on my "find more from them" list. And that ending! Oh, my heart... This one will be stuck in my head for awhile. 5/5 stars!!
