Cedar does a magnificent job with the folklore. She treats the subject matter with respect and weaves a compelling tale from the strands.

Note on the narration. This audio book used computer generated narration, which has a number of annoying issues. However, the sliw speaking can be corrected by running the playback at 1.2x normal speed. It is easier to digest that way.
