The Duke and I

The entire time I listened to this book I couldn't understand why Emma rejected Eliot over and over again. However it would be wonderful to have someone who never gave up even after years of rejection.

I am a fan of Stacy Reid but this book didn't quite grab me the way others have.

The narrator did ok I would probably listen to another book narrated by her. 

Another narrator attempts to murder a good story.

But really, it was only damaged. If you lack patience than you should READ this book, not listen to it.

It is a good book, delving into a hard topic and seeing it from angles that lends to a greater understanding. A tiny bit less head drama, but only tiny, might have been an improvement.

There were a couple off the chart bordering on erotica scenes. Very very hot.

I think this cost less than a credit, so I cannot say it’s creditworthy.

Uhhh I expected more.

So I adore Stacy Reid but this was kinda cheesy and I totally hated that she cute her hair off!!!! Steaminess 6 (1-10)

OVERPRICED FOR NOVELLA!!

Emma Fitzgerald had been in a coach accident. Causing her to become crippled. Elliott Winthrop loved her and had asked to marry her many times. But was considered unsuitable because he was a doctors son with no fortune. After Elliott becomes Duke of Hartford he asks Emma again to be his wife. But she is so badly injured from the accident she say no once again. She did not want Elliott to be bound to a cripple.

Eight years late when Emma is now a Spinster at 25, she has taught herself to walk. With her inheritance she has decided to move to America. But Emma wants one night to have sex with the only man she has ever loved and wanted. She disguises herself and goes to a Masquerade Ball to seduce Elliott. They have hot heavy sex together.

This is a very short Novella and the entire Sexual scene takes up a lot of the story. I didn't know it was a novella but I got it on Kindle Unlimited. But I also, bought the audible edition. Narrator was very good but it was only 4 hours long. Which was not worth the cost of the audible. I also, am sick of spinster storylines. Elliot and Emma was separated way to long. Eight years is far to long to separate a couple.

I enjoyed the story of Emma and Elliot. It is also very sexy and emotional 😍

Just meh and I normally love stacy Reid

I think because of the short length but idk. I just felt rushed and the narrator was kinda just blah. Disappointing
