This was a Good Story

Storyline was good and very believable, actually probably more realistic then most people think. I like the 2 main characters in this Story and how they meet and get into trying to decipher what is really going on that they seem to be in the middle of.
Narrator at first does the female voices poorly, but as the book continues he gets perty good at it. Narrator's dogs are barking in background in parts of this Audible book and this needs to be addressed.

Great book

The Drug Lord tells the true story of a powerful drug dealer and how he built and lost his empire. Listening to the audiobook made the experience even better. The narrator used different tones and voices for each character, which brought the story to life and made it feel like a movie. It was exciting, emotional, and very easy to follow. A great choice for anyone interested in true crime or real-life drama.

Keeps the story moving

I struggle to stay awake on long drives and lately even listening to books has been putting me to sleep. However, this book held my interest and kept me alert. The narration was clear and easy to understand and follow. Great job.

Could Not Stop Listening

All of Joel Barrows books, are genius. His professional background gives credibility to every story he writes story. The characters are all diverse and will hold yo captive for an incredible journey. The narration is great and brings life to each character enthralling you in the world Barrows created. I highly recommend this audiobook!

Drug Lords

This sounded like a good read when I read the synopsis.I can imagine it was,in print. I started listening on my phone.It sounded like it was recorded in a can.The words were also way too slow.I switched to Alexa. No more can sound but word spacing and not so well done voices put me off.Back to iphone so I could turn the speed up. I couldn't finish it. I was given this book free for an honest review.

Must say this book is well done. Love the suspense feeling in this book. Very well written by the author and well narrated. Definitely recommend this book.

Crime mystery

This was an interesting mystery with many plot twists. The characters were layered and well developed.

It's Got it All. Murder Mystery and Romance!

The book is part murder mystery, and part suspense novel, with a nice pinch of romance thrown in.

The Drug Lords delves into the world of Big Pharma whose executives dance to the tune of high corporate profit and high personal gain.

When Dr. Tobin, one of the few not seduced by corporate greed, starts exploring the "accidental" death of one of her co-workers, she soon finds herself the target of a hired assassin. Fortunately, she finds a friend (and eventual lover) in John Bristol, former prosecuting attorney turned coffee shop owner.

Multiple characters throughout the book are well developed and interesting. The story flows smoothly and grips you from start to finish. You will not want to stop listening.

Thrilling with suspense

The Drug Lords by Joel W. Barrow is an amazing suspense, thriller Mystery novels. D. T. Ritchie did a fantastic job with the narration. Barrow and Ritchie bring the story to life and you can feel the emotion of the story coming out through the way it is written and narrated. The story is entertaining, interesting, engaging, thrilling, suspenseful, and exciting. You won’t want to miss a thing, it will leave you on the edge of your seat in suspense. A lot of the twists and turns you don’t see coming. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend

Addicting!!

Very engrossing book, both the subject matter and the characters. I had to keep listening until I was finished! The Drug Lords offers multiple twists and turns from start to finish.

The story's intensity is nothing short of breathtaking bringing the characters to life and sending you on an emotional roller coaster as Tobin and Bristol fight for the truth and to simply survive...

I highly recommend this as a good, corporate-based murder mystery. Very beautifully done!
