HAHA WHAT???!

Okay, so this story was amazing. I was immediately drawn into how deliciously weird it was and it kept me riveted throughout. 'The Drip Drop Prophet' was honestly the strangest thing I may have ever experienced. I loved it!!!! With the kind of content that I regularly consume, it is very hard to surprise me. This one really did startle me in the most delightful ways. I enjoyed every moment of this weirdness from top to bottom and if you're a weird, freak like me, you'll love this one too. Dr. Benjamin Anthony delivers a fabulous performance. I would recommend this book to absolutely anyone who likes to step outside the box once in a while.

A Strange Tale

The Drip Drop Prophet and Other Stories,,, A strange tale that I didn't really get. Not bad I finished the book quite easily - Just not my cup of tea. I rated it 4* because it deserves more than 3*.

An Acid Trip Without the Acid

Have you ever done acid? I haven't, but I imagine it would be something like The Drip Drop Prophet. Austin James takes a love story (?) and twists it into something horrific and beautiful. He takes what you think you know and slaps it around until what you know punches you in the face with insanity.

The prose is great and the story is bizarre and unexpected. You should listen to this book if only to discover if you are as crazy as it is.

Also, the other stories are fantastic. Well worth it.

Definitely a trippy book

This book is... damn hard to find words to use in a review. It is just plain bizarre but oddly engaging. The narration is done well and for the couple hours of this book, I found myself entertained. It is dark, though, and quite twisted. So be warned before taking this crazy journey.

Yeast of my Yeast, Crust of my Crust

The askew view of the author is amazing. After listening to the first chapter I had to pause and say WTF. As I continued on the story it drew me in with the bizarre imagery. Behind all of this is a very human story of obsession and loneliness. The short stories at the end where amazing. Especially Violet Crime. I also enjoyed the narrator, his voice was clear, deep and conveyed the story in a great way.

Kept me interested

I listened to the stories and the one that kept my attention the most was the first one. It is the one the title refers to.
I have to be honest. It is relatively bizarre, but done in a way that I wanted to listen and enjoyed it. I’ll never look at my appliances the same way again.

Excellence in Grotesque

Difficult material that I would have normally discarded due to the disgusting nature of the events; however, the characters came to life and I found myself fascinated by the question: “what will happen next?”. The story is gripping and quickly becomes a page-turner! Brilliant writing of dark subject matter. Definitely kudos to the author for expanding my literary horizon.

I will be honest and say that I asked for this book only because the cover intrigued me it wasn't long so I said why not and when I got this book I received much more then I bargained for in a very good way in the best way I actually the story was very good it was interesting it was special it was unusual and it wasn't long but it was very full on and I loved it

Fun Story

Fun tale with some surprising twists. Plenty of body horror. Definitely weird, but also has an undertone if darkness.
