The moor remembers everything.

But the moor also remembers hope.

In the village of Thornwick, where smoke rises from chimneys and sheep dot the hillsides, few know the true history sleeping beneath their feet. They know only the warnings passed down through generations: stay away from the standing stones, avoid the cairns when mist rises, and never, ever trust the shadows that move in the deepest parts of Locklay Moor.

Yet every generation produces those who cannot help but wonder what lies beyond the veil of fear. And sometimes, if they are brave enough—or foolish enough—they find out.

This is the story of one such soul, and how she learned that the greatest magic of all is not the power to bind or break, but the courage to begin again.
