I am a 27-year seasoned holistic Pediatric Occupational Therapist who has heard so many of my parents ask such questions as, "Why didn’t my doctor tell me this? Why won't anyone listen to me when I say there is something going on with my child? What do I do now that my child has been diagnosed? Why is diet so important? Will someone please write all of this down?"I have written this book to fill the gap that occurs after a child is diagnosed. I have written it in a fun and playful way, but with all the professionalism necessary to guide you in the right direction after you have received a diagnosis, or actively trying to discover if your child has special needs. The Dragonfly Approach contains information about retained reflexes, different forms of treatment, the importance of diet/nutrition, and the team of professionals that your child may need to see, plus much more. I will also give you the important questions to ask, checklists for you to fill out, and other helpful information which has been asked of me over the years. The time is now to rid frustrated parents of the overwhelming feeling of not knowing which way to turn to get their child the help that they need. I want to end the disappointment parents often feel when they find out much later the route they should have taken or the questions they should have asked, therefore losing precious time. The Dragonfly Approach is holistic and recognizes that each child and family is a unique unit. This book is written from my heart and contains my love and passion for what I believe I was put on this earth to do. It was written with my experience as a mother who has children of her own with their own set of special needs, as well as my own special needs of ADHD, dyslexia, retained reflexes, and sensory processing disorder. If you are looking for THE book to guide you in the right direction, you have found it! I pray it is helpful to you on your journey. Relaciones Salud Infantil Necesidad especial Nutrición

I am having a hard time getting past Part 1. The 30 minute introduction was filled with a million "Praise Jesus" and so many other strange things for an author to write/say, "shut the heck up", "if you know what I mean" (too casual), "insane relatives", "oh sweet baby jesus", and lots of weird analogies - example: talking about babies being birthed wrong and how that throws the baby off the way you would be thrown off if you walked into a men's restroom and saw another man's "hangy" or if you're a male and walk in and see a lady adjusting her girls - and then worse, she follows that weird analogy by saying, "but some of you men are creepy and would probably stand there and stare just sayin". This author writes like she is still in K-12 school, or like she is talking to her friends, and because of her lack of professionalism and judgments and useless analogies I am having a hard time listening. I'm 45 min in (just about to start Primitive Reflexes Part 2), and don't even know yet if this is going to be useful info, as it's all just been personal story and analogies with no strategies.

I should wait to review, but I just couldn't handle it anymore and had to come here to warn that you'll have to be ready to listen between the lines.

The virtual voice has weird pauses where they don't belong, so I end up hyper-focusing on those pauses for a few minutes after they happen (thanks ADHD) and then I have to re-wind to hear what was said.

Too many "praise jesus" remarks & judgments
