The Door in the Roots

On a walk, Bella finds a hidden door to another world, and things take off from there. Bella helps in a battle in the other world, and leaves inspired to share the world with Skylar. They return to find panic as a friend Bella made on her first trip has been kidnapped by evil creatures, called Muto, that use a person's worst fear against them. Bella and Skylar recruit Sam to help save their friend. On their return from this adventure, they find the door gone and have to return to school. Months later, one of their friends from the rescue, a dwarf, emerges from the trees bearing a message. He tells Bella, Skylar, and Sam that they must help the alternate world defeat its biggest threat; the Darkness. Along with dwarves, goblins, and other humans, the three go on a monumental quest involving sea monsters, caves in mountains, castles and kingdoms, and evil creatures. This journey challenges the trio at the most unsuspecting of times.
