Many of these leaders were devotees of Niccolò Machiavelli’s treatise The Prince, a manual for would-be rulers written in 1513 and still read today by power brokers of many kinds around the world. Not your normal organized crime book
This book was refreshingly different from your average mafia book. This book took a deep dive into what the mafia was about and how all the powerful bosses conducted themselves and went about running their families. The author didn’t write this book on his opinion, but on the words out of many of the bosses mouths.. Great read, very informative..

A philosophical treatise…
…that cracks open mafioso heads one at a time. Both nuanced and broad, this analysis ostensibly employs Machiavellian logic but the subtext also screams to the heavens, I AM BECOMING!!! And Heraclitus knows the reader will be as transformed by this work as the ‘river’ is by her ‘step’! What a brilliant angle and an impossible backstory!! Looking forward to what’s next from RJ Rogers
