Heart breaking story, interesting, suspenseful. Makes me so happy to be living in the US. Reminds me to never take for granted the freedoms & way of life that we have been blessed with. Thank you to relief workers & missionaries whom endanger their own lives to help others in desperate need. May God continue to Bless America. Great narration. Must listen.

I loved this book! Like his previous books, Mayland's description of the people, geography and culture draws you into the world of his characters. However, the Doctor of Aleppo is much more personal that Mayland's Mark Saga series. It made me think of Doctor Zhivago. People trying to keep their humanity under devastating circumstances.
