Heart breaking story, interesting, suspenseful. Makes me so happy to be living in the US. Reminds me to never take for granted the freedoms & way of life that we have been blessed with. Thank you to all those who fight every day to keep this country free and defend our borders. Thank you to the families of veterans. An epic tale of war and humanity
I loved this book! Like his previous books, Mayland's description of the people, geography and culture draws you into the world of his characters. However, the Doctor of Aleppo is much more personal that Mayland's Mark Saga series. It made me think of Doctor Zhivago. People trying to keep their humanity under devastating circumstances.
