The Disciple

After battling the demon Lilith, Jason’s confidence is shaken. A God born of the Eternal Flame, he should be the most powerful being in the universe—yet a demon nearly defeated him. Questioning his strength and purpose, Jason retreats to Medisa, a small, forgotten town at the edge of the world. There, he resolves to rebuild his faith in himself by converting the planet to believers of the Faith, beginning with the conquest of the surrounding kingdoms.

Meanwhile, Matthew returns to his quiet hilltop village hoping for rest, but peace is short-lived. The Ice Queen learns of a Messiah’s arrival and sees him as an existential threat. She despises the Faith and is determined to destroy the Messiah before he can destroy her. Bound by duty to protect her kingdom, Matthew is forced into her war plans—despite his doubts and reluctance.

And then there’s the red-haired woman Matthew encounters on his journey. Why is she so certain he is the Messiah? And what does that mean for a world on the brink of holy war?
