Okay, had trouble suspending disbelief

Not a bad book, but I had trouble believing the characters could do all they did or even handle the events at all. Prose is often overly-florid or saccharine, though the horror elements are fine. Temple either flubbed a lot of words or got a typo-ridden manuscript. Overall just “okay.”

Get it!

This was a story that was easy to get lost in and the narrator was spot on.

Great Paranormal Horror

I read The Devil's Doorway by Steven Pajak in its physical form, and I enjoyed it a lot. I love the audio version too. Joe Hempel 's narration really brings out Kate's grief and emphasizes the hellish atmosphere. Pajak has a lot of great descriptions, and Hempel brings them to life in a different way. It's a terrific paranormal book.
