For years, some law enforcement agencies have replaced the faces of traditional playing card decks with images of missing and murdered people and distributed those cards in prisons hoping inmates would come forward with information needed to crack these cold cases wide open. Now, audiochuck is dealing you in. Each week, we will be working with investigators and family members to bring you the details of some of the coldest cases from around the country in hopes that someone listening can finally bring these victims the justice they deserve.Audio Chuck LLC Biografías y Memorias Crímenes Reales

  • Jason Vesper (10 of Diamonds, Nebraska)
    Apr 1 2026

Our card this week is Jason Vesper, the 10 of Diamonds from Nebraska.

The year 2008 had barely gotten started when 40-year-old Jason Vesper found himself in the middle of a family argument with his wife and teenage son. In the early hours of January 2nd, Jason left the family home in Scottsbluff to go for a short drive and blow off some steam. It was his MO when he needed to decompress.

As Jason walked into the dark towards his pickup, with snow still lying thick on the ground, no one could have predicted the horror that would unfold over the next few minutes. Jason’s last moments were caught almost entirely on surveillance footage – except for a short window in which he was viciously and deliberately murdered.

What exactly transpired between Jason and his killer during that period was never captured on film. Why did Jason become a target during a spur-of-the-moment drive? And was the killer – or killers – closer to home than anyone could have imagined?

    • If you have any information, you can call the Scottsbluff Police Department at (308) 632 7867.

  • Janet Couture (Jack of Diamonds, Connecticut)
    Mar 25 2026

Our card this week is Janet Couture, the Jack of Diamonds from Connecticut.

In 1973, Janet Couture was murdered in her home, and for more than five decades the case remained unsolved. Despite years of investigation, the breakthrough came only in 2025, when a longtime suspect with a violent history was finally arrested.

    • If you have any information about other crimes George Legere may have been involved in, or believe you were a victim of him, contact Detective Christina Johnston of the East Hartford Police Department at 860-528-4401, or if you would like to remain anonymous, call 860-289-9134.

  • Mason Worthington (Wild Card, Virginia)
    Mar 18 2026

Our card this week is Mason Worthington, the Wild Card from Virginia.

In the early hours of December 30, 2018, deputies with the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office were called to the Penniman neighborhood of Williamsburg, initially for a report of shots fired.

Then, they were called again: A 20-year-old had been fatally shot in his home. They spend the next several days talking to Mason’s friends, searching for surveillance footage, and collecting evidence.

Since then, investigators have canvassed the neighborhood, turning over every possible clue that might help piece together what happened on December 29, 2018. They believe they might be close to answers — as long as they’re able to track down the man who might know what happened.

Anyone with information can call the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office at 757-890-3621or the Hampton Roads Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (5625-887).

Loving this so far. Honestly anything involving Ashley or Brit I’m on board! And can’t wait to see if anything gets to help solves these cold cases from listeners !

So happy

I have high expectations of Ashley because I believe she is a trailblazer. Her stories, narration, and research are excellent. She tends to have trivial things that really ruin the podcast (not just this one. It's part of the trademark, I suppose! 😂)
The ads and their placement really ticks me off, especially because we don't have the option to subscribe and pay for ad-free content. Also, the intro at the beginning of each episode is unnecessary, and half a minute of theme music is just obnoxiously unnecessary! It's not even good music! Of the hundreds of podcasts I've listened to, only ONE had a stunning intro/theme song. It's the Culpable podcast, and the theme song is by the Dirt Poor Robins. You can find it on YouTube. If yours is not of that caliber, half a minute is far, far too long.

Good, but Could be Better

I personally love all of their content, excited to see where this podcast takes us! big fan of bringing awareness to cold cases / missing people and at the very least letting their families know their loved ones have not just been lost in a stack of cases.
Stay safe!!
