It was up to Jodi to get them both through the devastations of a deteriorating mind. After Granny passed away, Jodi spent years trying to reckon with her grief. Jodi and her mother were both diagnosed with breast cancer nearly a decade later, and then Jodi lost her too.

Coping with loss

I’ve been to many funerals in my life, but my greatest fear is what Jodi went through. I enjoyed her book of essays, their candor and insight. It is timely for sure, and comforting in my current phase of anticipatory grief. Thank you for sharing your story.
