Acerca de esta escucha
When the body of a renowned archaeologist is found naked and laid out in a gruesome manner in the grounds of a ruined castle, DI Marc Fagan is faced with a nine hundred-year-old mystery.
The victim’s archaeology team put up a wall of silence regarding his murder. DI Fagan must unravel the mystery behind the killing. In doing so he stumbles upon another murder mystery stretching back to 1975, when another archaeologist was murdered in the same fashion.
As the investigation deepens, Fagan uncovers a conspiracy surrounding a religious artefact stolen during the crusades and taken back to Monmouthshire. A journal containing a map that has the location of the artefact. A race to uncover a fabulous treasure, and a killer that will eliminate anyone who stands in their way.
Set in the heart for rural Monmouthshire The Dead and the Buried explores local myth and legend surrounding a woman called Alice of Abergavenny.
For those of you who love Dan Brown and the Indiana Jones series.

Stunning, Amazing, and Deep!
DI Marc Fagan has his work cut out for him! A professor is the first victim, stabbed with an ancient dagger, then stripped, branded, and staked out … as if in parody of the crucifixion … but he’s not the last victim … “The Dead and the Buried” … Some Things Are Best Left Buried … had me completely engaged and enthralled! Brilliantly detailed with a smooth, mesmerizing flow, I was kept guessing right up to the stunning, shocking reveal! The characters are plentiful, diverse and so throughly drawn and defined that I really felt as if I was coming to KNOW them as the story evolved! Fantastic narration provided not only instant recognition, but additional insight as their stories moved forward! Each character was both uniquely AND emotionally voiced, with vocal selections beautifully fitting their personalities, and emotions conveyed so clearly that I knew what they were FEELING throughout! I felt like I was “watching” the story in my minds eye, as our authors vision came beautifully and brilliantly ALIVE, sealing my engagement in this stunning, and amazingly deep, detective thriller! Five fantastic stars across all categories ~ I loved it!
