Resumen del Editor
Are you ready for a gripping true crime story that will keep you on the edge of your seat? Then look no further than "The Day Eva Dugan Died," by award-winning journalist and author, Rod Kackley.
Eva Dugan is a woman with a past. Once a saloon singer and a prostitute in the wilds of the Yukon and the Klondike, she is now on the run, accused of murder. But did she really do it? That's what Jim McDonald, one of Arizona's last cowboy sheriffs, is determined to find out. With his voters demanding justice, McDonald sets out to capture Eva and prove her guilt.
But as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that nothing is as it seems. Eva's history is one of hardship and struggle, and her current situation is no different. With several husbands gone missing and her children grown, she finds herself seeking companionship with a wealthy chicken rancher. What happens next will change the course of Arizona's history forever.
"The Day Eva Dugan Died" takes you on a journey through the cross-country chase to capture Eva, her courtroom trials, and the statewide campaign to save her life. Finally, it leads you to the day of Eva's scheduled execution. Will she be hanged for her alleged crimes? And what will be the consequences for Arizona's justice system?
This book is not just a true crime story. It's a compelling tale of a woman's fight for survival in a harsh and unforgiving world. It's a story of love, loss, and betrayal. And it's a story that will keep you guessing until the very end.
So if you're looking for a book that will transport you to another time and place and leave you thinking long after you've turned the last page, then "The Day Eva Dugan Died" is the book for you. Get your copy today and discover the shocking truth behind one of Arizona's most infamous cases.

Historia
Best-selling author Bryan Burrough recently made a shocking discovery: The small town of Temple, Texas, where he had grown up, had harbored a dark secret. One of his high school classmates, Danny Corwin, was a vicious serial killer. In this chilling tale, Burrough raises important questions of whether serial killers can be recognized before they kill or rehabilitated after they do. It is also a story of Texas politics and power that led the good citizens of the town of Temple to enable a demon who was their worst nightmare.

Experience a bold take on this classic autobiography as it’s performed by Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne. In this searing classic autobiography, originally published in 1965, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and Black empowerment activist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Human Rights movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American dream and the inherent racism in a society that denies its non-White citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time.

For his victims, for their families and for the investigators tasked with finding him, the senselessness and brutality of the Golden State Killer's acts were matched only by the powerlessness they felt at failing to uncover his identity. Then, on April 24, 2018, authorities arrested 72-year-old Joseph James DeAngelo at his home in Citrus Heights, Calif., based on DNA evidence linked to the crimes. Amazingly, it seemed, evil finally had a name. Please note: This work contains descriptions of violent crime and sexual assault and may not be suitable for all listeners.

Historia
Seven Bones is the story of one of the more bizarre murder investigations in Australia’s history. Two wives die in suspicious circumstances: co-incidence or, as husband Thomas Keir describes it, ‘bad luck’? Three years after Thomas Keir alleged his first wife, Jean, deserted him and her young son for another man, his second wife, Rosalina, Jean’s cousin, lay scorched and strangled on her bed. Arriving on the scene, Detective Peter Seymour realised he was either dealing with the world’s unluckiest husband or a serial wife killer.

When a hideous murder makes the headlines, a barrage of questions usually appears in its wake: Why did this happen? Could it have been prevented? What kind of family was the criminal from? Are his parents in some way to blame? Any crime writer worth his salt would attempt to answer these questions - but how do you address such questions when the killer is your own son? In a brave, honest, and moving work, best-selling true-crime writer Carlton Stowers examines the downfall of his eldest son, once a happy child full of promise, now a convicted murderer serving a 60-year sentence.

On a clear autumn morning in 2004, Rachel O'Reilly, a 30-year-old mother of two, was brutally battered to death in her home. It was a merciless killing that stunned the small, trusting community where she lived and devastated her close-knit family. In the days that followed the discovery of her body, it was thought that Rachel was the victim of a bungled robbery attempt. It soon emerged, however, that police investigating the case believed Rachel had known her killer and that her murder had been carefully planned months in advance.

Stiff "voice", as expected.
The story is sparse and the virtual voice stuff and very unnatural. I would have at least liked more detail about the perpetrator and victim.

Good Story Telling
I didn't think I would care for this as the animation is AI. The animation was great. I wouldn't have known it was AI if I hadn't been told. An interesting story that left me with much to think about and how far we have come as a species with mercy towards marginalized people. This was a sad story about a woman who had lived through a lot of abuse. She probably had a good self-defense case that was never told. But that was then. I'm sure there was much more to the story.
