I don't like how the author talks it just doesn't sound like a teen but overall a great story!

I liked the moral and the ending and I disliked the voice that the author used

Interesting Take on Unreliable Narrator

Morality tale about an extremely neurotic, fragile girl’s descent into madness and desperation to be part of the cool crowd at school.

There’s a lot here to like. A pretty intense exploration of the character’s psyche and dangerous mental state. I’m surprised they printed it!

I didn’t like the narrator at first, but getting further in, I noticed that’s only because she’s doing an amazing job acting out the character’s fragile mental state and constantly need for affection and affirmation.

Good Story

It was a good story, although I felt it dragged a bit. But… you can’t go wrong with R. L. Stine! Would still recommend

Great Twists and turns!

I like how fantasy and reality start to warp together in this one. It's interesting how the protagonist isn't really all that great of a person either. The main character's Best Friend was awesome though.

The narrator was great on this book. I really enjoyed the plot, this one was pretty good 😊

Overall fine

Christina Moore does a decent job at voice acting for the characters with the material she has to work with. She emotes well. I dislike how the story isn't broken up by the actual chapters but into three parts. There are also some odd audio lags and spaces. I think this needs a little technical work to improve accessibility.

The story itslef is what you'd expect from Fear Street cliffhangers at the end of chapters to keep you reading, gore and suspense, and a reasonably good story. I dislike that the Johanna keeps falling into describing her fantasies so much. It doesn't work here and sort of makes the book feel padded. Johanna as a character suffering from depression and needing approval is a good character and her motives make sense with the other characters.

Overall a good story but it feels padded in places and the ending feels like it wraps up a little too quickly.
