The king suspects they must be dancing somewhere, but where? Period music plays through the production; young listeners can imagine themselves dancing away the night with the princesses in a beautiful underground castle. Performer Laura Paton adopts a cultured tone. Her comfortable pacing and gentle narration make the story easy for little ears. Although a few suitors are beheaded, this tale is one of the Grimms' sweetest.
