Enter Lexie Holder. Lexie is a riding instructor who is concerned that the horses at Cedar Tree Ranch aren’t getting proper care. She also happens to be Hank’s ex-girlfriend. In fact, he’s convinced that the reason she’s being so hard on him is as revenge for him breaking her heart several years ago.

As Lexie and Hank work together to get the stable in shape, she realizes she’s put both of them in a sticky situation. In her initial concern about the horses, she hinted to a local reporter that there might be problems at the ranch. Can they straighten things out before Cedar Tree Ranch has to close its stables for good?
