Sivert Olafsen, Private Investigator

A crime novel from the marine environment. The eighth book in the series of Sivert Olafsen, the retired police investigator. He is contacted by a ship owner who has lost control of the costs and is in danger of losing the entire business. Sivert is doubtful of taking on this assignment, it is far outside his expertise. He believes the employees have slept through the hour and have not seen that the business is about to go into receivership unless the frauds is stopped. It is the benevolence of the banks that has saved them so far.
He brings together a team of retired former employees who work their way through the challenges that have arisen. False invoices, unblue claims, outright fraud, staged by mafia organisations. It is a terrific story where the mafia does not hold back from direct assassination attempts on the aging ex-police investigator and his team.
