One of the best historical books I have ever heard or read I felt so drawn to the time as well as geographical locations The main characters were so beautifully brought to life The brutality of the time was also brought forward We’ve come forward with technology not not with humanity. The reader was excellent

A Touching Love Story

Elizabeth Chadwick is one of my favorite historical fiction authors. She absolutely did not disappoint with this poignant middle ages love story.
I had a really tough time with the narrator. She did not have a credible voice for the young girl characters and at times it was difficult discerning whether a male or female, or even a different character was speaking.

So much sadness.

Such a harsh reality of life. It is a story of great dissolutionment for the young. It cannot be labeled love if you cannot stay true. no

Historical Romance

I gave the author a shot hoping for more history than romance. Story is overly long with a predictable ending.

Loved the historic detail , character build, romance scenes !
The story line is a bit similar to some of her other books , a little predictable. The narration is ok, just sounds a bit mature for the youth of the characters, but does a great job with each personality.
