The Community Garden ... more than tomatoes are dying

Community garden steward Frank Mueller is responsible for more than turning over the compost pile. His biggest challenge is the garden know-it-all and busy body, Berta Johnson. Berta can devour the garden's serenity faster than a hornworm can strip the leaves off a tomato plant. When Berta turns up dead and buried in the compost pile, everyone is shocked, but quietly relieved. Who would want to kill Berta? Turns out just about everyone. With no evidence, and an abundance of suspects, solving this murder will be like trying to keep the rabbits out of the lettuce.
