In "U: Who Are U?" Kevin introduces the 21st Century Multidimensional Hierarchy of Needs, which breaks down the complexity of the human experience and provides guidance on how to change the course of your life through meeting your individual needs.

In The Commencement, Kevin provides some of his most profound insights as he asks graduates to focus not on the traditional question of “what do you want to be when you grow up” but rather to decide “who you choose to be and how you choose to live your life” as they commence with their journey as young adults into adulthood.

I could easily visualize the graduate listening and preparing for the "unknown" with a new sense of self

Which scene was your favorite?

Took me back to my own graduation and all the excitement!

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Focus on WHO you are, not what you WANT to be. Use your strengths and remember not every "good" thing in life will be easy to achieve.

What made the experience of listening to The Commencement the most enjoyable?

I love Kevin's down to earth and realistic encouragement and empowerment to choose the destiny and life you have always dreamed of. I also like the acknowledgement of all the unintentional wrong messages teens and youth are given by society and those they are supposed to be guided by.

What did you learn from The Commencement that you would use in your daily life?

I have the power to choose who I want to be and I can move towards those goals one day at a time.
